Seminars on the Future of AI and its Governance

The Coalition for a Baruch Plan for AI is proud to offer organizations, clubs and interest groups the opportunity to host engaging and insightful seminars on the future of AI and its governance. These seminars are available both virtually via Zoom and in person at your preferred location. Since we  currently operate exclusively on a voluntary basis, we typically ask for reimbursement of expenses and a small donation.

The Context

Today, many large prominent companies are investing billions in the development of increasingly advanced artificial intelligences. This includes not only useful and innovative systems, but recently also the declared goal of creating a superintelligence: an AI capable of improving itself autonomously, with the real risk of becoming uncontrollable.

If this race continues without rules and without comprehensive oversight, the dangers are not only to human safety, but also to concentration of economic power and the risk of serious imbalances for all humanity.

What we offer

Our seminars are highly interactive and can adapt to your needs. Our basic seminar is a meeting online or in person, with 5-10 participants where we can explore together:

  • An overview from leading experts on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on society, focusing on how geopolitical, technological and market trends shape this future.

  • The extraordinary opportunities that artificial intelligence promises

  • The immense risks for human security and economic power concentration

  • What is meant by Superintelligence and because it represents a unique challenge.

  • A comprehensive look at the main international AI governance initiatives,

  • What can we do to face this challenge, for us, our children and for Humanity.
